What goes around, comes around.

Listening to: Shine (ft. Esthero) - Boney JamesAfter flippin' through numerous pages of my inbox, I came across a this story and I've decided to share this with everyone who is now viewing my blog.
He almost didn't see the old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her. Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so, was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you. He said, "I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson." Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt. As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid. Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way. He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, "And think of me."He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight. A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan. After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin. There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: "You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: "Do not let this chain of love end with you."Under the napkin were four more $100 bills. Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard. She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, "Everything's going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson."
There is an old saying "What goes around, comes around." Today, I told you this story, and I'm asking you to pass it on. Let this light shine! :)
新年快樂

Listening to: 慌心假期 - 梁咏琪Here I am to wish everyone a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year! :) I'm pretty sure that most, or should I say everyone of y'guys here are having fun. Yup, I'm going through a great time these few days. Meeting up with my family members as well as my favorite people are awesome y'know, and not to forget the red packets. It seems that the people in Malaysia are doing very well this year. A big increament of money in the red packets(not stating how much I've got, but it's close to a thousand). Anyway, since I've not been updating with entries lately, I'll squeeze all in one post. It won't suffocate you, so no worries. Here goes..
17th of February(Chinese New Year Eve): A marvelous day I would say. Alright, I got up early at 7 and headed over to the club together with my younger brother, Nick. He had a great time smashing balls. Yeah, tennis balls, while I checked out the gym. After that we had a huge and fat breakfast and right after that, we went over to Jazsmon to have our haircut and I got my hair dyed as well. I wanted something different this time. Instead of blonde or red highlights, I painted my entire hair violet. Not bad after all. The first time Jazz did a good job for my hair. I'm pleased with it, (my parents and friends were cool with it, too). In addition, she did not charge me extra this time. Ralph was happy, everyone was happy. :D Later on, Kaekae gave me a call telling that she couldn't make it as she has got no transport, so I went over to Parade with my main man, Nick. I did not expect to meet Ganesh and Dave there. Ganesh changed alot; with blonde covering several parts of his black hair and the shit load of earings attached on both his ears while Dave was just the same-old-Dave, no changes but he's still standing firm. Was great to see you guys anyway. =D It followed up with a call from Elle and she joined us up at Secret Recipe for lunch. After that we moved back to Parade to meet up with Mike and to get our Chinese New Year outfits. Damn the rain, we got stucked in the mall and all of us only made our way home at approximately 5 in the evening. It was a great day though. I reached for the bed after bathing and reunion dinner was at 8p.m. Cards and gamblings followed. No gains for me, not even a dime, but I don't really think that I've wasted my time.
18th of February(Chinese New Year/Spring Festival): Bring on the celebrations. Here comes the Lunar Festival and I've stayed up late yesterday, glued in front of laptop and had this countdown. Yeah, the Chinese New Year countdown. It was pretty nice though having tons of instant messaging windows popping up on the screen(the usual wishing and greetings) but they were all sincere and sweet greetings. Thank you guys and girls for the sms texts as well! Later in the morning, I called up my favorite people and wished them the best throughout the year. After that, all of us headed over to grandpa's place and we were being handed red packets. Red packets are what most people crave for during this festival- we all love money. :D Had breakfast, moved on to a few of my relatives' place and we had some talk and we continued on with poker, blackjack and so on. No big bets, just for fun. :) And at night, I proceeded over to Clo's place. Her family was having a massive celebration and Clo's dad gave me a really big red packet. Not an envelope which is big in size, but in figures. A shout out to Clo' and family! :D
19th of February: Traditionally, the 2nd day of Chinese New Year will be a visit to the family at my mom's side. It was hella-a-great-day meeting up with fellow cousins and catching up with other relatives whom I seldom meet. :) My cousins came over to my house at noon and all of us had a long talk. Talking has always been the best way of strengthening ties with one another. :D After that, I received an unexpected phone call from good friend, Jackson who have just came back from the National Service for this festive break. Obviously, the call was meant for a gathering- at Jusco. I reached there early and waited for a damn half an hour before I felt someone patting me from the behind. They were the usual suspects. Clo', Elle and Jackson. We had a wonderful time though. Jackson and Clo' ditched us an hour later, probably they have got too much to talk about after a few months separated from each other. Poor fellas. :P Elle went on to meet Samantha while I got back home to get ready for another visit to my relatives'.
20th of February: was the shit. Not that my day was bad, it was just an expression. Of course, a positive expression although it sounded filthy. Who cares anyway. :X So there goes again, an unexpected phone call. This time was from Desmond, a friend of mine from KL and I seldom hear from him. Yeah, and that phone call was a call up for a gathering as well so I fixed my time earlier to catch up with lil' brother Nick and dearest Rebbie'. I was again early this time and waited for another half an hour, at least. Dammit! Anyway, Desmond brought James along and we had some talk and cappuccino in Coffee Bean before proceeding to meet Janet. Reached home at around 11.30p.m.
A long and detailed one, and all of these were meant for remembrance. :) It is late and I've gotta hit the bed now, so..
Buenas noches!

Listening to: After The Love Has Gone - Earth, Wind & Fire.Good day, people. Yes, I'm back- with a brand new blog and of course, a different layout as well. I'm pretty sure that everyone likes changes from time to time. So yeah, I replaced the usual seething black layout into a shiny, golden skin. Tell me that you love it. *grins*
Anyway, let's speak about the title which I've place on top of this entry; Soul embrace was created on the 14th of February 2007. It's not that I like Valentine's Day but it just makes me easier to remember when I've made this blog. Enough said, be back soon. :)
